“Mystery Pollster” Mark Blumenthal, about as nice a numbers guy as you’d ever hope to meet, is a man ready for the November elections. He has a calculator, for all we know he has a slide rule and now he has an on-line presence.

Blumenthal, whose moniker comes courtesy of Slate writer Mickey Kaus, is writing regularly for Slate about polls from the Fall midterm elections. And he’s got his own site, Pollster.com. No one does a better job of writing clearly about numbers. So today, Mystery Pollster’s our HotSpot.
