NolanTalk Spot

Spot-on editor and founder Chris Nolan is considering elocution lessons.

Why? She’s going on the radio! And, it seems, she’s not exactly the best-spoken soul around.

Nolan’s going to be talking about net “roots,” blogs and other stuff on the “Will and Willie Show” hosted by former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown on Monday at 8 a.m. here in San Francisco. It’ll be on 960 am KQKE – “Progressive Talk Radio”.

Nolan’s worried, though. She talked to the folks at FoxNews.com earlier this week and, well, she needs to start “popping her p’s” as the radio people say.

A quote about “good old-fashioned op-ed research” from this story should have quoted Nolan as talking about “good old-fashioned op-po research” – a comment more in keeping with the themes from this post.

Op-eds are opinion pieces and yes, sometimes they’re researched. But op-po is something a bit different. It’s the not-so-nice story that stops a candidate, a campaign or a cause dead in its tracks because the revelation is considered too controversial or scandalous for voters to support.
