The anti-war movement finally has an anthem. And yes, you Emma fans can dance to it.

Michael Franti, based right here in San Francisco, has ditched the Progressive Nostalgia guitar twang and written “Light Up Ya Lighter” which spells out what’s wrong with this war as well as anyone has. It’s on his new album “Yell Fire” released last month.

This is a great example – Franti and his pals at Spearhead have a nice on-line following for their music, films and tattoos – of how individual and individualistic voices find their audiences on the web. They’re today’s HotSpot. Enjoy.
