D-Spot

It’s not every day that you can compare new and old styles of journalism side-by-side over something as goofy as party, er, conference, coverage. It’s harmless, entertaining and, as a result, a useful insight into how all the this on-line stuff may someday really work.

Check our buddy Little Nicky Douglas at ValleyWag and his coverage – from the comfort of his San Francisco basement office – of “D – All Things Digital” and the Wall Street Journal’s coverage of the same event from San Diego. It’s a good look at the networked news of the future. One feeds the other in an oddly compatible way and you get a pretty good idea of what really happened.
