Up Close and In Person

If you haven’t taken our reader survey, please be kind enough to lend us a few moments of your time to answer a few brief questions. If you do, you can win a fabulous prize: A $50 gift certificate to Incanto, a really good restaurant here in San Francisco or, for you out-of-towners, a “Justly Married”poster, specially printed and signed by the photographer Derek Powazek commemorating the first same-sex weddings in the nation.

The survey is anonymous but if you want to win a prize you do need to give us your email address. We won’t abuse your trust, don’t worry.
And yes — sigh — I know it doesn’t work with Safari, the Apple web browser. The Geeks who designed the survey software say – and this is almost a direct quote – not that many people use Macs so they’re not going to tweak it. Not that many – just this ‘blogger! – so I feel your pain.
Monday, the 24th, I’m going to be on a panel “Bloggers, Journalists and Politicians” in New York. It’s a pretty impressive group that includes Eric Alterman, Arianna Huffington, Jason Calacanis, and others, moderated by Micah Sifry.
The panel is part of a day-long Personal Democracy Forum put on by Andrew Rasiej and Jerry Michalski. If you’re interested in technology and politics – and if you’re reading this, you probably are – you might want to drop by. Details here.
